Masha'Allah!
Masha'allah, what an excellent topic Samia ji, because as many people assume nasheed to be an English name for naat, through this topic you will be able to clarify many people's confussion.
Nasheed is songs that can be sung in praise of the Holly Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho alaiyhey wa aalayhi wasallam aswell as the Most Glorious Allah Subhana Wata'ala.
It is not necesarily a Naat or Hamd but is songs which educate about Islam using poetry/lyrics.
Many nasheeds are sung with music, some with the daff only and some without music at all.
On the whole a nasheed is songs sung by muslims situated around the deen, Islam.
As the new generation are more involved and indulged in music. The concept of nasheed is to withdraw them away from worldy music and wordly affairs by educating and bringing them closer to Islam in this manner.
