SABEEH REHMANI RECITATION OF NAAT

Naat (the poetry dedicated to Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Sallallaho Alaih-e-wasallam) is itself a sacred poetry which cannot be compared with any other kind of poetry, after Hamd-e-Bari Taalla. Naatia poetry needs: (i) Understanding of high spiritual Grandeur of Hazrat Muhammad () (ii) Proper knowledge of language in which the Naat is written. (iii) Proper and up date knowledge of literary trends those are prevailing in the literary circles. (iv) Knowledge of standards of dialects of the language (v) Proper knowledge of norms of Islamic teachings.

Naat Khwani further requires some additional elements viz:-
(a)Lyrical genius, (b) full command over the voice, (c) melodious wisdom, (d) musical sense without using any instrument. and (e) proper sense of sanctity of Naat.

In the domain of Naatia poetry, Sabeeh enjoys full command over the norms of poetry and in the domain of Naat Khwani he possesses full command over the norms that are fixed for performance of this art. His melodious voice adds extra beauty in reciting naats in public gatherings.

In the field of Naat Khwani, there are various trends and a large number of Naat Khawans are in the field. In solo performance, there are several Naat Khwans who have attained good fame. Some names rightly hold the recognition of a legend such as, Aazam Chishti and Manzoorul Kawnain. The second generation of Naat Khawans has people like Saeed Hashmi, Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi and Khursheed Ahmad who made their mark in the field.

Sabeeh Rahmani, is one of the most renowned Naat Khwans who received recognition of Naat lovers in both fields of Naat Goee (i.e. Poetry) and Naat Khwani (Recitation of Naat). His words touch the hearts and his melodious voice catches the attention and is appreciated by millions of people.

Some naats written and composed by Sabeeh have attained world wide appreciation and recognition and have become anthem in the field of Naat Khwani. I have observed great appreciation all over Pakistan. The same position was also witnessed in Madinah Munnawara.

In the past, Sabeeh had confined himself to recite his own poetry and was considered fully successful.

But at one point, he realized that his own poetry could not keep pace with his rapidly increasing fame/popularity, in the world of Naat, therefore, he decided to opt for the Naats of other poets.

I have observed that any Naat that is delivered by him with the inclusion of his melodious voice attains wide appreciation of masses and instantly becomes popular.

Sabeeh has reached such a high profile in this field that any Naat gathering is considered colourless and incomplete without his presence.
By virtue of his melodious delivery, good selection of poetry, he has placed himself on a high pedestal in this field. As far as his own poetry is concerned, he is very selective in choosing good subjects. It includes lyrical words, soft dialect, un- paralleled rhythmic vision and high sense of tradition with modern trends of writing poetry and his voice adds much beauty and aesthetical light in to the words.


He has magical rhythm and unique style of presentation. He captures comnplete attention of his audience.

I hope and pray that Sabeeh will attain the grandeur of a legend in this unique and sacred field during his life time. I further pray for his well being and prosperity. May the Almighty Allah Bless him with good health and everlasting fame and the fragrance of his poetry and voice is applauded over the centuries.
